Check your VIN on the NHTSA recall webpage. This sound like the NHTSA recall notice that the dealer should have fixed with a software update before delivery.
You said this happened to your wife. Was the car updated with the latest software?![]()

Ok, that's promising in the sense that it very well could have been a case of non-updated software. Still hoping to hear back from the original poster of this thread.It was a demo that the dealer loaned us until our car was delivered

Hmmm so I guess we'll never know for sure. Interesting that both cases on this thread were demo cars, though.I brought it in for a software update 3 weeks ago. I assumed they updated the software but didn’t actually check the build number.
Also, I took it straight to the dealership after the incident so I don’t have access to the current software.
It was a demo, but theoretically had been updated.
