We've owned the car under a year (11 months), so we're well under the recommended schedule (24 months/20k miles). Is there a way to get this to go away? Same message here, but after 24 months of ownership what seems normal. I‘m sure it’s just a time or mileage based thing not an indication of anything being wrong.

Looks pretty easy based on this youtube vid. I wonder if the RH drive cars are similar? I must have a look behind our glove box!

How do you expect them to become more skilled and experienced with EVs if you don't bring yours back to them? How dare you deny them the chance to get better at their job. 😁 Good luck and hopefully you find a place dealer or otherwise that cc an take good care of your car.

Cabin filter is likely the same as the ICE model, which has been around for five years.

Are you out of the included maintenance mileage/timeframe provided by Volvo at purchase?

I don't believe free maintenance was included with our Volvo 2021 XC40 Recharge. Even if it was, it would run out at some point and I would still need to face the issue of how to reset that notification.

Probably a reset from the VIDA app, in which case a dealer visit is required.

Check your window sticker if you have it, think 2021 states “Complimentary Factory Scheduled Maintenance for the First 3 Years or 40,000 Miles” on it. Anyway I see your point in eventually wanting to reset it.

Mine went off at 12 months/22,000 miles. Took it in and cost me nothing.

This is what I had to do for my XC40:

1. Get in the car and close the door. Do not touch the gear selector.
2. To prevent the seatbelt message you can buckle up to remove that message.
3. Press and hold the cruise control minus button on the left side of the steering wheel
4. Hold down the brake and move the gear selector to the D position, while still holding the minus button. Don't release the brake!
5. After about 10 seconds the orange I informational light will blink. Release the minus button immediately.
6. You will see a message stating the maintenance reminder has been reset.
