Welcome to the forum and congrats on the order! The R Design certainly seems to be the most popular specs on the XC40 and for good reason. Which color did you end up going with?
six months, OH NO!! (can't find the right emojis):surprise:cryingI just spoke to the salesman where I bought mine and he said that they are way behind in production and that they are telling buyers six months
Not good! :crying I really want this car!I just spoke to the salesman where I bought mine and he said that they are way behind in production and that they are telling buyers six months
I haven't got a VIN yet, on the web it says 4 weeks until delivery... I live in Sweden, but still, the car is built in the Netherlands. I can't really see how they can manage that. Now when I get a VIN it will mean a real production schedule and the possibility of tracking and estimating a delivery date. Anyone with a VIN who can say how delivery flowed from the time of getting a VIN? Of course, if the ordered configuration aligns with one already in production there is a hope (dream?) of faster delivery.
Thought the Volvo XC40 was built in Ghent, Belgium?I haven't got a VIN yet, on the web it says 4 weeks until delivery... I live in Sweden, but still, the car is built in the Netherlands. I can't really see how they can manage that.
DEMAND IS TOO GREATOrdered my R-design mid May. Was promised eom July/August delivery. Then changed to Oct .... Now Nov 2018. Very disappointed buyer. DEMAND IS TOO GREAT!!
Thanks everybody for the comments on this... I don’t think I want to wait until late this year, I need to get rid of my Jeep before depreciation reaches a point it will be no longer even worth to trade. I love this XC40 but the wait is getting too long. Just emailed my sales guy, hopefully I can get a repense, no matter the outcome, but at least something from the dealer, not just “sorry, no words yet”.Lexdrak, you shouldnt expect you car until 1st quarter 2019. The dealers in chicago are giving that estimate for anything ordered after mid to late april.
