I've had a P8 since May of 21; it has less than 15,000 miles on it. The maintenance schedule the owners manual calls for first scheduled maintenance at 20,000 miles or 2 years, whichever comes first. In fact, i have scheduled an appointment for early April, a month before the 2 year anniversary. The vehicle has decided that i am not following the rules: i get a warning every time i engage drive that "regular maintenance is overdue".
Do any of you P8 owners know how to reset this? i've tried the method for the gas powered XC40 and it has no effect.

The cabin filter is due annually regardless of mileage (per maintenance booklet)… is it possible this interval is approaching?
My issue isn’t that there’s a warning. It’s that there is no clear way to reset the warning.
Volvo used to leave the instructions for clearing the warnings in their manuals. But now it’s not in there.
It’s even dumber as the Recharge has no real maintenance besides the cabin filters, making the warning even more ridiculous!

I understand and agree. Once my 40,000 complementary maintenance is up I will not be taking it in for a cabin filter… So far I have only seen videos of how to reset the maintenance reminder in ICE XC40s. Hopefully someone finds a way and shares it.

Found this post for resetting the polestar service message. Could be the same if anyone wants to try. Reset service interval / maintenance message : Polestar (reddit.com)
  • Get in the car and close the door. Do not touch the gear selector.
  • To prevent the seatbelt message you can buckle up to remove that message.
  • Press and hold the cruise control minus button on the left side of the steering wheel
  • Hold down the brake and move the gear selector to the D position, while still holding the minus button.
  • Release the brake pedal immediately while still holding the minus button.
  • After about 10 seconds the orange I informational light will blink. Release the minus button immediately.
  • You will see a message asking to reset the service interval. Press the OK button to reset.

Correct timing is key, if it doesn't work the first time, open and close the door and repeat.
Seems strange to put the car in drive and then release the brake as a step to reset a reminder, but if it works...

The two year timer counts from the date the car is built. The retailer is supposed to reset it during the pre-delivery service but it is often overlooked. Once it is reset, the 2 years /20K mile counter starts again.
