What a disappointment. We discussed ordering a new XC40 Momentum (instead of the Inscription) with the dealer today because my wife preferred the Amazon Blue with the White top, but found out that it has been discontinued. So we're going to go with the Inscription in the new Thunder Grey. We're a bit disappointed, but you go with what choices you have!!

Whoa, that's news. Sounds like we lucked out. I hope you'll enjoy the Thunder Grey.

I believe we'll enjoy the Thunder Grey, and if it needs a little sprucing up I'll take it down to my favorite trim wrapper. I had him do some trim on my VW Sportwagen and on one of my motorcycles and it makes a big difference. The main thing is that we got everything else that we wanted on the vehicle and moved up to the Inscription. I think we'll be satisfied.

Anyone know why the amazon blue was discontinued? Was it problems with the paint?

It was probably discontinued due to lack of sales for that color. It was a love/hate kind of thing. When I was at the auto show last year looking at the XC40 I noticed a lot of people commenting on how they hated the color. I wasn't too fond of it myself and my wife did not like it a all.

"To each his own". I really loved the Amazon Blue with the white top. But I'm sure that we'll also like the Thunder Grey, and I'll probably add some trim in a contrasting color once we get the car and have time to consider what would look good. Thankfully wrap is fairly inexpensive, especially when just used in fairly small trim areas.
