I would like to dim down the brightness of the driver instrument panel and the center display during the day. However the thumbwheel control only adjust illumination of the window switches. I tried adjusting the interior lighting setting to low or off, but that did not have any effect on the instrument panel or center display.

I am able to adjust the brightness of instrument panel or the center display with the thumbwheel if the headlights come on and the displays brightness dims during dusk or dark places. But somehow this does not work in full daylight when the headlights are off and the instrument and center displays are on full brightness.

Is there a way?

I don't think you can adjust the brightness when the displays are in "day" mode. There was a post on here about a way to force the centre display (at least the map view) into the night mode with the black background. I can't recall how you do it. I tried it and it did work, but I believe every time you shut down the car it would revert back to day mode and you had to do the settings change again, so not convenient.

I guess it auto-adjusts during daytime based on surrounding light levels. I don't even have a thumb wheel on my 2023, that's replaced by a slider in the settings section, but I would guess that won't allow you to set brightness during day either.
