For the brains trust. We have been on a road trip for the past week. Google Maps has been a bit frustrating. Today we wanted to add 2 charging stops to our route. We add the first one successfully. When we add the 2nd stop, it makes that #1 and then it backtracks to what was the original added stop (making that stop #2). Is there any way to change the order of stops, or do you have to add them in reverse order?

It's frustrating, but there doesn't seem to be any way to reorder stops on your route. Like you said, the only way to enter them is in reverse order starting with the final destination. I really wish they'd add the ability to change the order once they're entered.

Google Maps for Android has such a feature -- allowing to change the order of stops. I suppose we will have to wait for that to filter down to the AAOS version of Google Maps.

Yes, the only route editing you can currently do is deleting a stop. So in this case, you'd have to delete the 2nd stop and then re-add it to make it the 1st stop.

+1 for how frustrating the in-car Google Maps can be. Adding a new charging stop mid-route is also a nightmare. We were driving and wanted to stop off at a known station to charge. No matter what, we could not get it to show it as an option. The "Search this area" simply doesn't work. The solution was to end our current navigation, add the charger as the destination, and then add a second stop to our actual destination. Of course, when we got to the charger, it seems the "pin" was off by a couple hundred feet, so the car didn't sense that we had arrived at the charger. As a result, the screen telling us to "charge to X%" never popped up, instead telling us our charger was "1 minute away".
