AAA ranks the XC40 Recharge second only to the Mach-E

Not just in their own category, but among all new 2021-22 cars tested.

Some caveats: there are a lot of vehicles that were not tested for various reasons. The EV6 and Ioniq 5, for example, were only released after AAA's cutoff date of 1/1/22. And they didn't review any Teslas, for whatever reason. (Maybe Tesla didn't submit any vehicles for testing? I dunno.) But overall I think the ratings are pretty good and accurately reflect my opinion of the P8. (I never test drove a Mach-E because I didn't care for its looks and wanted the higher ground clearance of the Volvo.)

Tesla has NO press fleet. So any cars you see in reviews are ALL owners cars.

Because of this, some review sites/magazines will not include Tesla's in their tests because they can't guarantee they are getting the same car, straight from the factory, as a customer would get. (When borrowing from an owner)

I don't agree with it and think it's silly. But that's why you won't see Tesla's in some comparisons.

Great that they gave it a good review but you have to laugh at journalists when they do things like this:
I suppose maybe the Green/Yellow/Red bar chart and ratings are based on some data (such as actual cargo volume) so maybe they XC40 has a low number of cubic feet/metres cargo volume giving it a “red” score, but it’s good cargo space for the overall compact size of the car? I don’t know! :)
