Following up after 1,400 miles on new Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires,
Was at 31.6 kwh/100 Miles over the first 20,000+ miles including two winters in the North, mind you that's 95% local area driving / non-highway.
Now after 1,400 miles that's up to 37.3 kwh/100, may be the warmer weather of the summer or less rolling resistance, be warned that for me and my XC40 Recharge we're seeing a 15% reduction in range which on a low range EV to start with means 20-30 real world miles.
However, one caviar is that we took a 100 mile trip this past weekend and the real world distance and % of the battery used was exactly the same as with the OEM Pirelli's, what's range anxiety inducing is that when we left home the BMS said 39% when we arrived, that's normally in the low 60% range. However after the half way point in the drive the BMS updated us slowly back up to 63% which is exactly the same and no difference in the summer between the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 and OEM Pirelli.
I'll make another post after the coming winter season / tires start to wear and see if we get anywhere back near 31.6, have a great day all!
