I have seen some discussions that mention a $1,000.00 accessory credit. Was that part of a Volvo promotion or was that a dealer promotion?
There was no mention of a promotion when I bought my XC40 Recharge?

more of a goodwill program than a promotion. Volvo Cars in North America screwed up the P8 rollout, e.g., sequestered cars at the port of entry due to factory defects, buggy software, etc., and needed to tamp down the rightful anger of owners. Some dealers were unaware of this program, other were reluctant to use it even though cost was 100% Volvo Cars. See attached. But, this program is history now.

There is something rotten behind any offer that seems profitable. That is the case too. I've been moving to Finland for a year now. Here things work differently. I bought a 2021 Volvo Xc40 for 68,700 EUR by getting a loan from Yhdistelmälaina on kätevä tapa säästää lainanhoitokuluissa Besides taking out a car loan; I already had some debts. Only at this company, I concluded such a loan agreement to pay all the debts in one. Could I do the same in USA?

Not if you take the $750 in gift cards, not profitable to them at all. I got $75 in Amazon gift cards from my dealer after some pushing.

Even if you take 1000 in items it is not profitable to them as you are paying them nothing for them. That said wish I had noticed the gift card option :)

Just got in from bathing my car and driving her. **** I really never would of thought a small suv ev would be this fun to drive … I expected sensible and instead smooth powerful responsive fun.

Happy swooshing :)

But, this program is history now.
Just to be clear - the program applies to XC40 Recharge cars delivered up to June 1, 2021. If you got your car before June 1, the program is still in effect for you - doesn't expire until Dec 1, 2021.

Just go to your dealer and say the magic words: "Service Bulletin #00-447" !

As stated if you took delivery before June 1 ( I squeaked in with 5/29) you have until 12/1 to get your dealer to do this. You will probably have to nag them and have some problems you have dealt with to have this apply.

Assuming delivery before June 1st, if there wasn't anything "wrong" with your Car, you can always use the "under spec" argument....Apple Carplay, Sirius, VOC not available as advertise. Never hurt to try...... I, too, had pushed for the $750 Gift Card but my Car did end up at dealership for over a week with pads/rotor issues.

Thanks for posting this. Had mine in for service earlier this week, showed them the copy, and the service manager arranged for a $500 accessory purchase/install. Appreciate the heads-up.

The most terrible question for those who take out a mortgage: "Will I have enough money to pay it?" Many people live in the hope that it will become easier in a couple of months, but the situation is such that prices are rising, but wages are not. And if it is difficult to pay today, it will be even more difficult tomorrow. Therefore, if you are not initially sure that you will pull large payments, it is better to be safe. We decided to consult with specialists from Mortgage Advisor Cardiff and they helped us choose the best option.
