History
I had been tracking prior to release but wasn't confident in either rear seat or trunk space without seeing it. Prior car (3 series BMW) was totaled in an accident the same day the first XC40 showed up in my city. Saw it that day but all cars in the first allocation sold (in all NW dealerships). I still hadn't driven one yet so I called another dealer to setup a test drive with the intention of ordering one and receiving (months) later. Dealer phoned me back that night to tell me that one of the pre-orders just canceled and it was exactly what I had wanted (down to the color). Took delivery a few days later in April 2018.
